Available Models:

This high-performance, high-density switch can serve as the always-on core for highly resilient large-configuration networks. It features the scalability to support up to 96 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 384 ports of Fast/Gigabit Ethernet using R/RS-Series or 8800 series interface modules and it offers full-featured network virtualization.

This switch provides a robust platform to create the always-on core of a medium-sized network, or as an aggregation device in the distribution layer. Leveraging R/RS-series or 8800 series modules, it supports up to 48 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 192 ports of Fast/Gigabit Ethernet, and offers full-featured network virtualization capabilities.

Suitable for wiring-closet applications or as the always-on core of a midsize network, this switch features up to 400 ports of Gigabit Ethernet (with or without PoE) or up to 68 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

This central-office switch is a NEBS-compliant version of the 10-slot 8800, notable for carrier-standard features such as vertically orientated R/RS-Series or 8800 series interface modules and high-capacity fans.

For customers seeking advanced features such as network virtualization in a low-density configuration, this chassis supports a single Switch Fabric/CPU module, with capacity for two R/RS-Series or 8800 series interface modules. It is suitable to serve as the core of a small network.

This cost-effective switch can serve as the always-on core of a medium-sized network, or as an aggregation device in the distribution layer. It supports up to 36 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, or 192 ports of Ethernet (with or without PoE) at a variety of speeds.

Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 Series
The Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 Series is a broad collection of systems that deliver always-on networking and high-density Ethernet connectivity. Supporting hot-swappable modules, redundant fans, and power supplies, Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 Series systems are highly resilient individually. The systems are typically deployed in Switch Clusters to deliver true end-to-end reliability and always-on application access. Available in a wide range of models, these systems are specifically designed to address the critical enterprise requirements of reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Our flagship Ethernet Routing Switch 8800 is a key component of the Avaya Virtual Enterprise Network Architecture (VENA), supporting full-featured network virtualization capabilities for campus cores and data center applications.
Features and Benefits
